Examine the many different types of centrifuges and evaluate if your equipment is operating at the best efficiency. Comparison of alternative dewatering technologies such as belt and plate and frame presses will be reviewed along with recommendations to ensure your plant dewatering circuits are well designed, properly operated and adequately maintained.
As with fine coal circuits, a wide variety of equipment exists for dewatering coal. The focus of this workshop is on centrifugal drying since it is most widely applied in the United States. Screen bowl centrifuges are used to dewater a wide range of sizes. CMI will cover the coarse end of the range down to 100 mesh. Decanter will address the fine end below 100 mesh. Vertical, horizontal, scroll screen bowls along with solid bowl centrifuges will be examined in detail.
